Buying a Piano

Having the right instrument for your child to practice on is absolutely vital to their long term success.
They will spend most of their musical life practicing at home, so they need an instrument that both feels good, sounds great and responds, as a piano should. It's very important that we as parents understand that expecting your child to make a commitment to practice in turn requires you to make a commitment to providing them with an appropriate instrument. Therefore, choosing the right instrument is an important decision.

Please take the time to speak to us before any purchase. What might look and sound good in the store might not be the best choice for your child. We will advise you on what instrument would be best for your child and what is a fair price you should expect to pay. Our advice is free, frank, and honest.

It's important that you buy from a reputable piano dealer and not from eBay etc unless you have had a piano tuner check out the piano. A good dealer will offer you a 5 year warranty on a used piano and 12 years on a new piano.
